One engineer, five fields

I'm Ahmed Marcolino Teca Kanadji. TECAA is my engineering studio: I take ideas that sit between fields, like a headset that hears, translates and reads hands, and build them until they work for real.

I studied engineering at Kadir Has University in Istanbul, and I now work from Luanda, Angola as TECAA, taking on freelance projects for clients anywhere.

My graduation project there was Extended Reality Interfaces for Speech Assistance in People with Non-Functional Hearing, a HoloLens 2 assistant for people with non-functional hearing, built with Hadiza Muhammed Avidime and Aiana Mederbek kyzy under Prof. Dr. Fabio Stroppa. I worked across the headset app and built MenKan, the translation engine inside it.

Alongside it I've shipped a cross-platform nutrition app (FitCal), a storefront on Cloudflare for a real brand (ZOA), industrial power monitoring tools, and a Character.AI-style chat platform with a team of four.

I like problems that don't fit in one field, and I like them finished. I start with the system: the pipeline, the data, the design tokens. I keep claims honest: a number on this site was measured, and team work names the team.
